Early Edition.

DANCING WITH THE STARS.

OMG! Who didn't see it? It was probably the worst week ever. Everyone basically sucked. I couldn't handle it. Jennifer Grey in the bottom? Well, she slipped and almost fell, but still, it's JENNIFER GREY! And everyone thought Bristol was amazing? Please? She looked just a tad bit better than Kate Gosselin was last year. Come on! Kurt Warner and Rick Fox are just bumbling idiots who I can't even figure out why they've stayed so long, and then Audrina Patridge gets sent home? REALLY, people who voted? Really?

REALLY.

Am I the only one looking at her? For real. She's hot and an even better dancer.

JUST SAYIN...

Another week, another reviewz

DANCING WITH THE STARS

Here's the story, of Mrs. Brady. And how she danced and danced and danced just like a slut. The country didn't like the way she grinded, so now she's all alone. (sing that to the brady show theme song and you'll get it.) Yup, everyone, she's gone. Vote Jennifer Grey, please. :)

GLEE

Repeat. What? Already. Ok, I now hate you all. I know you're building up for your Rocky HOrror Episode, but still. You all should be talented enough to come up with something new each week and still deliver. A lot of other shows do it and you can too.

BETTER WITH YOU

This show kinda lost something for me this week. Usually, they begin each episode with a scenario and how it plays out differently with each couple who are in different stages of relationships. This week they didn't do it. I don't know what to think about this. I figure what happened was, when the show filmed a pilot, they filmed a few. Now that the network has picked it up, they are into newly filmed episodes, but I hope that they return to the beginning that was really interesting and catchy.

Overall the show was ok. Maddie thinks the best way to get someone to do something is to make them think it was their idea. She makes a deal with Ben to see if he can make Vicky think that it's really her idea to stop sending frivolous emails to his workplace. Meanwhile, after the ultrasound, Mia has trouble convincing father-to-be Casey that their romantic activities will not harm their baby, so Maddie suggests Mia find some way to make Casey see her as the sexy woman he fell in love with so they go out clubbing. But, Casey is overprotective of her stomach, she leaves. he then finds her at her sister's house where she is bonding herself because the baby is kicking.

First of all, I think I was just so disappointed with the opening of the show that I dont' even want to write about it. But anywho, it was just mediocre. That's all I really want to say. Bring back the opening!!!

MODERN FAMILY

GENIUS! GENIUS! GENIUS! OMG I can't get enough of this show!!! How can you not be watching this. It's brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gloria and Jay struggle with the neighbor's barking dog. When he disappears, Jay and Manny think that Gloria killed it, like she did the rat she once found. It comes out that Jay and Manny are scared of GLoria and she's offended, because she just took the dog to a farm. Which was not a metaphor for killing him, she really did it. BUt the best part of this whole section was the neighbor said he never complains about their parrot. (aka GLoria) Brilliant.

Phil and Claire start a week long competition with their family about not using technology for one week. Everyone is pissed, but they all agree because Phil offers each of them a prize they can't possibly give them and, one by one, they all falter. Luke first because he can't resist some on-line video. Alex freaks out when she gets a B from using book encyclopedias instead of updated internet. Then Clair gets caught checking something online. So it's just down to Haley and Phil, and we see that Haley has a little bit of a creepy side. Phil and claire have promised her a car if she wins and they can't let that happen, so as they are planning what to do to get her to cave, they hear her on her cell phone in her room. So, they go up and call her out. Phil is super excited so he grabs his i-pad to check his fantasy football team and Haley reveals that her cell phone is a bar of soap colored with a sharpie. She fooled them all. I seriously lost my mind. It was so unexpected and wonderful. I think that's what I love most about this show, is every twist and turn is just an incredible surprise!

Then Mitchell and Cam are trying to get Lily into school. They get a spot at Claire's school, which is difficult, but they want into the really really good school. They think as gay parents of a minority child they are a shoe-in. While waiting for their meeting, Lesbians come in with a black child, and one of the lesbians is in a wheelchair. They panic and while in the interview, Cam is so nervous, he tries to one up the lesbians by pretending to be native American. I thought I was going to lose my ever-loving mind! LOST IT! Cameron is so brilliant. The cast is HIGHLARIOUS! I can't take it.

COUGAR TOWN

Actually one of the better episodes of the season, once again, justifying my love of Ellie.

She throws her level of intelligence over everyone else, while everyone just wants her to admit she's just like them. GASP! SHe'd never stoop so low to give them the satisfaction of being right. Travis ends up helping her realize that they are the same person because he learned how to do the exact same thing from her. It was hilarious because you actually saw a twinge of parental pride when he admitted it, much like how she will only show that pride in private about her own child. It's genius how she's a bitch, but secretly warm hearted.

Jules finds out that Bobby canceled his health insurance to afford to stop taking alimony from her. She's freaks out and scheme's him into doing odd jobs for her so she can take care of him. She ends up letting him go off into the world on his own, but still, the control issue. I wish she had chosen a drama to, in fact, distance herself from her Monica Gellar days. I'm just so sad about how similar they are.

And where the hell is bitchy, one-liner, gold-digging Barb? Did she die? I miss her witty quips. ABC hello????

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

THis episode reminded me of why I actually love this show; good old-fashioned, bitchy, fun. Every one had drama, but it was light-hearted and fun.

Lynette is struggling to find a nanny, so Tom invites his mother. Lynette can't deal with the 1950's housewife mold that she invokes and tries to teach her children, turning her pseudo well behaved boys into neanderthals. She ends up spouting off and insults her sending her away and opens the door for a big blowout between her and Tom. I love this part. I think it showed them as real people, and also gives us an insight to the fact that her mother-in-law is borderline alzheimer's. So I think we have that storyline locked away for a little while, right? Dealing with a forgetful parent?

Gabby and Renee have the funniest scene of the entire show when they bond over being beautiful, sharing secrets as if they have forgotten that beautiful women use secrets to get what they want. It ends up coming out that Gabby had a nosejob, and Renee slept with her ex's lawyer to get her settlement. It all comes out in a huge fight, but then when the apology happens, we get to see that they are actually friends and have a legit foundation of being friends. Surprisingly, I found myself truly touched that such superficial diva's found each other in a very real and sincere way.

Susan ends up getting fired from her porn job, thank god. I was so bored with this whole thing anyways. But then when she signs on for one more job, we see that Paul Young is on the other side of the screen. OMG! what a shock! FOr real? This is yet again another stupid device of the show. The former murderer who got off and is now back trying to pit one person against another and trying to buy Susan's house. it's just lame. Paul Young IS a murderer and Susan looks like a tired old bitch. There I said it. I don't buy her clumsiness or anything about her resembling acting. I'm over it. ABC if you're reading, here's a budget cut. Fire Teri Hatcher.

And Bree is oversexed. Finally, someone is giving it to her. She needs a little messy sex in her life. BUt then she struggles trying ti impress him with French cuisine and theatre. Because we all know suburbs are chock full of culture and fine dining.

But her new boyfriend is overwhelmed and just feels like all he can offer is sex, so he is screwing her all the time and she's exhausted. They finally compromise. I'm sorry, is either one a bad thing? Culture and lots of sex? SOunds kinda perfect to me

BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Good Lord, these peoples lives are so tragic. Yet, it's so well written it's so hard to NOT watch.

Norah gets her first shot at a Radio show, but starts to choke until Kevin convinces her that she's got a great list of accomplishments. So he and Kitty both call the show to help her and give her hope and helps her actually fight off a bully. Norah helps both of them in different ways deal with their grief. Justin listens and realizes that he's also grieving the defeat of his marriage. Sarah hears a conversation from Luc's pocket dial and thinks he's cheating, so she takes Scotty over to confront him and she realizes how wrong she was. Luc comes home and ends up proposing and commits to being a better man. From Kevin's earlier call to his mom, he realizes that he's ready for a child, so he tells Scotty that they should adopt. Scotty breaks down and confesses to having cheated on Kevin.

Where do I even start? I love that Norah was the one to lose her way a little bit. It's typically the kids, but they were all a little lost this time around and they all reminded her that she is who taught them to be strong, and they got that from her. It's just a nice turn when a matriarch learns from her offspring.

And seriously. Gilles Marini. HOT! Enough said. For real. I love that they had to turn him into an underwear model to give something superficial for him to do. I mean, it wasn't
enough that he was a hot French artist, but now he has to be naked every episode. I'm not mad, I'm just pointing out that it doesn't really have to happen, but we're not mad about it.

I love that Kitty and Justin are finally getting a little bit of closure, but rest assured Rebecca will make cameos on future episodes. And Kitty's man, the lumberjack, well, it's such an old device, but it's fantastic!

And normally, I don't approve of cheating as a smart way to shake up a marriage, but for once, I think it was done tastefully. Scotty admitting infedility against Kevin, yes, came out of nowhere, but still, given that Kevin is one who can't see the forest through the trees, it makes sense that he is at fault. So now, it's going to take about the rest of the season for him to realize that Scotty cheating wasn't anything more than a lonely housewife who's husband ignores him. Unless the show is going through, yet again, more budget cuts and they are getting rid of Scotty. But I mean, they can't get rid of every spouse, can they?

This Past week, IN Reviewz

DWTS

I'm over it. I think this show is so boring now. I don't even care about the dancers anymore, except Jennifer Grey. I LOVE watching her dance.

Anywho, everyone danced well and mediocre and bad. The Situation was just awful and he went home. I can't say that I'm sad about it because 1. I think he's a tool and 2. He tried to coin the word "unpositive." Really?

Really?

Really.

He's a moron who I would love to say should be shot, but I don't wish death or harm to anyone, but he certainly shouldn't be famous. Bye bye loser!

let me lick your abs, though. :)

GLEE

I can officially bring them back, as I have read reports that they are going to be doing an episode on Bullying. I don't totally love the route that they are going with it, but I"ll give it a shot.

Basically I think this show sucks. Last week, Kurt's dad was in the hospital and no one knew his fate and everyone sang boring songs about spirituality. And then this week, he's magically all better and they didn't really address what had happened.

This week, Kurt's motives are called into question by everyone and he has a hard time admitting to himself that maybe his intentions are less than true. Anyone who is in high school who can make that much of a discovery, and that quickly, I would love to meet them. I'm not saying it's impossible, but we certainly don't learn all of it within a week.

Whatever, everyone else had to sing duets, even though Kurt somehow managed to sing a solo. It was wierd because Rachel and Finn decided that they had to somehow throw the competition to make everyone happy? I didn't really follow it. And then, one of the weakest duets, Sam and Quinn, won, because Rachel and Finn voted for them. So, it turned out they were behind the scheme all along. But the thing they forgot is everyone was going to vote for themselves. All they had to do was vote for Sam and Quinn. They didn't have to sing some stupid song inappropriately which just didn't make sense at all. The scene was completely superfluous and just pissed me off.

In reality, Mercedes and Santana would have won. There I said it.

Wheelchair boy actually had an interesting, albeit sad storyline that he gave his virginity to Britany, but she was just using him to be partners with. IT was kind of awkward because I didn't even realize he could be sexual.

This show did have some good one liners with Santana and Britany making out and Santana commenting on "scissoring." I died. But one line does not a great show make.

BETTER WITH YOU

I love this show more and more each week. This week's episode dealt with fighting. The newest couple, Mia and Casey began arguing and Casey's idea to end all arguments is to just get naked. He maintains that you just can't be mad at someone naked. It also helps that he's really hot.

Maddie and Ben get into a fight and we find out that they way they fight is Ben acknowledges a problem and Maddie just lawyers her way around it and they never really deal with anything.

And the parents get mad at each other and just hide each others things. Bril

This show is so saccharine filled, it almost hurts. However, the simple formula works for this show. It's interesting and relatable. Easy to watch and just hilarious. I think it's slightly far-fetched, but close enough to home that one is never bored.

Just again, a note to the designers, we don't live like that in NYC unless you have TONS of money. Please address this somehow on the show because we're not buyin it!

MODERN FAMILY

Mitchell and Claire decide to tell the other ones partner that what they are doing isn't ok. Claire has to tell Cameron that the bicycle shorts are bad, and Mitchell has to tell Phil that his jokes aren't funny.

Of course the plans backfire and Cameron ends up running to his room crying. And then Mitchell can't keep his end of the bargain and ends up telling Phil he's hilarious. So then Mitchell ends up talking to Clair on the phone and he says Cameron looks bad, Cameron over hears it and cries again. It's GENIUS! these people are so amazingly wonderful, I can't stand it. The writing is so funny and random and just, AHHHHHH I love it.

This alone is hilarious, but then we have to add in the fact that Alex wants to be popular, with the help of Hayley. When it works, Hayley finally feels like she and her sister are bonded, but then it all comes apart when Alex geeks out again.

It's been so much fun watching Cam wearing bicycle shorts, and seeing more of the kids lately on the show. I think it's so difficult to have such an ensemble show and keep everything fresh as well as utilizing everyone on the show equally.

This show has everything. I think if someone isn't watching this show, they are crazy. It's truly the best comedy on television. It's probably the best comedy that's been on tv in quite a long time. And that's one that utilizes every element in it's power.

COUGAR TOWN
Eh, i lose steam with this show each week. It's cute and fun, but I'm over the kid being at college. I hated that they just promoted the fact that his gf is calling all of the shots and he has no say in his relationship. He wants out, she says no, he wants her to stop seeing other guys and she says no. Um, really?

And while it's fun to watch Bobby missing the guy eating the sword, I think his character is a little bit lame. I don't enjoy his backwoods, stupid banter, combined with a dopey look on his face no matter what happens.

Ellie and Andy are weekly favorites of mine. I wish they could work at leading characters because I would watch an entire show about them. BUt sadly, supporting characters have to stay there.

And I live for the title of the show, this weeks was "not what the show is about Cougar town." Love it!

I doubt the show will last more than next season at the most, but it's enjoyable for now. I guess that's a good thing?

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

Just when I thought the Bree fighting with Renee storyline was tired, they took it up a notch. Really? Little people frighten her? OMG it was one of the funniest scenes to see Vanessa Williams about to climb a wall because she couldn't handle being around a little person. And the set up to get there was even better. Completely played into the halloween idea, and almost like a horror movie. It was brilliant.

Sadly, that was probably the only brilliant thing about this episode. Paul Young is back and of course has secrets galore, and his new wife is suspicious and wants him to open up to her, but she has to have sex with him, basically. This is so lame. We all know that Paul is a murderer and he should be in prison, but he's out and blah blah bah. He's obviously plotting something and just gonna mess everything up.

Lynette lets her daughter Penny watch the new baby and Penny ends up taking her to school. I completely thought the authorities were going to get involved and end up taking the baby away, but thankfully they didn't go that route with the characters and Lynette and Penny ended up having one of the most touching moments I've seen on the show in awhile.

Gabby and Carlos met their new daughter and keep butting into their new family's life. Well, Gabby does. It's become a war of the moms and I just don't get where they are going with this. It's kinda lame, and it almost feels like Gabby loves Grace more than Jaunita. It's just kinda dumb. I liked this idea before it came about. I almost with they had just presented the idea of the daughter but then had her come around later, in a few more years when she's 18. I dunno, i just think it's a little weird.

And Susan. MY GOD! Get her a new schtick! Seriously. She's strapped for money, she does something stupid, she's clumsy, she's just boring. Plus I"m just mad at Teri Hatcher for comments she made lately about her finances and I just think she's a douche. But she needs a new storyline because she's boring. But give me more Lanie Kazan because she's brilliant!!!

I dont' get where this show is going, but I'm invested, so I guess I have to stick around.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Such a sad show. OMG I can't take it anymore. Everything is so sad in their lives now. Justin and Rebecca wake up together and still can't figure out a way to be together. Rebecca is leaving to go to NYC as well and she asks Justin to understand, and he does, but still, it's rough.

Holly ends up running away to Norah's house demanding to see William, even though he's been dead for 5 years. So, then Norah thinks she's trying to kill herself, but she's not, and she's just tired of forgetting everything and just wants a normal life again. She ends up in the hospital and struggles with trying to build a relationship with Rebecca. It's so sad because she's trying so hard to feel something for her own daughter and just can't. I actually love this new angel of the show, it's adding drama that might not be needed, but it's interesting.

Saul is dating a man, and when he reveals he is positive, the guy can't deal with it because he has already buried one man who struggled with HIV as well. It just made me so sad, because Saul is such a easy man to love. He's wise but still tries to learn and grow. And the best part is he doesn't let this one man's rejection deter him from his life, he chooses to just move forward.

Sarah spends most of the episode playing a yes man to the rich bitchy women who run a school she wants her daughter in, so she is making costumes for some play. Luc actually calls her out on her behavior but she's determined. After he son ruins the school play, and the two women are blaming Sarah and her overly sexualized household, Sara loses it and jut lays into them. It was brilliant, but I hate that she always has to go this route. She has to let so many people walk all over her before she can be true to herself. I just want her to figure it out already, she's amazing!

And kitty finally lets herself have a fling with the hot handyman. Yes it's a tired storyline. Tons of shows have this happening. But, she just dealt with her husband dying, and just needs a fling. It's guilty fun, yes, but people need a fling when the relationship dies in any capacity.

Then the end of the show, Justin breaks down to Norah and I'm not afraid to admit that I cried. Sometimes no matter how hard our lives are, we just need our mothers because we know that it's our safe place. She even says to him, "i'm the only one here." And at that moment, he just breaks down. It was truly beautiful.

Weekly Review

Ok, so if you're reading this, than you already know what happened on all of the shows, so I'll recap fast and just tell you what I think.

DWTS

I'm kinda done. Each season gets more and more boring. Sadly, This weeks it was Margaret Cho's turn to go home. It makes me sad because she could have been amazing. Plus, she did a grand performance for the gays and I just don't get it. Other people were so awful. But then again, it's partially the voting. I mean, the situation? Really?

Really?

Really.

And Bristol Palin? Ugh, I"m done.

Vote Jennifer Grey and be good with her winning!

Better with You

Each week I just love this show more and more. I love the opening with the same scenario and ho it plays out with three couples in three different stages of their relationships. HOw the newest couple is always so cute and open minded, the couple together for nine years has a routine and a schedule for everything, and the couple married for 35 years knows how everything will just play out.

This weeks episode was about the family Christmas card. It was actually kind of genius, because I think most shows are going to be doing the Halloween route and they brought in Christmas. It was amazing. I loved how the family had this kooky little language and Christmas like tradition that no one else really gets. Like, what the hell IS a Christmas nest?

I do love me some Joanna Garcia, but I would love to see her play someone other than a ditz. Debra Jo Rupp and Kurt Fuller as the parents are about as real as you can get. Yes, they are quirky and fun, but it actually makes me think of my own parents.

I love this show. I think it will be around for possibly 3 seasons. I mean, it doesn't really arc so much, but it doesn't really matter.

Modern Family

Every week, I can't get enough. I loved the earthquake. And of course Cameron can't lie to save his life and of course Nathan Lane guest stars as the gayest man alive. It was beautiful and I seriously laughed so hard. Nathan Lane is so wonderful. I do have to wonder what happened to his Broadway Show for the week of his filming?

But then Phil utilizes Clair's being stuck in the bathroom to fix a few things around the house that he already told Clair that he fixed. One being a bookcase that almost fell on Luke, who didn't want to get hurt, but then ran into a wall. By the time Clair gets out of the bathroom, the bookcase is fixed and PHil has to take Alex to the Museum.

And then by a mis-communication on the phone, Gloria thinks everyone is dead.

I mean, for real? This show is Brilliant. I have to say that my favorite part of the show is Gloria. Sofia Vergara is simply amazing. SHe's gorgeous and she's hilarious and so just damn committed to everything. I am stunned by her. Actually the entire cast. The kids are funny, but sometimes, I think the kid who plays Luke is just kinda weird. Not his character, but his acting. It's kinda bad, but it works.

Cougar Town.

I'm kinda bored of this show. I can't lie. I still watch of course, but that's just because of Ellie and Andy. Oh and Laurie. I know I've said it before, but they really are the best things on the show. Of course the show wouldn't exist without Courtney Cox and the heartthrob she's dating on the show, but still, it just feels like a more grown up Monica.

The empty nest syndrome and visits to college are a little tired for me. But I do like how the show changes the title every week. On week it was "Still Cougar Town.' This week it was, "Badly named Cougar Town." It's fun. I almost want to watch to see what it's going to be called.

Desperate Housewives.

My gay little soap opera. It really it over the top dramatic. Insane scenarios and implausible plotlines fill this show. It's like every bad thing that's every happened in a suburb ever in the world, is happening on this one little street in California.

Susan is really getting into her new job as a sexy housekeeper, and ends up fighting with another tenant who does the same thing. I mean, for real? This is really happening? I mean, it's slutsville all over this place and I just can't believe something like this. And I'm so tired of Susan. I think she's such a wimpy whiney woman who can't deal with anything.

Lynette steals Tom's medical marijuana and replaces it with Oregano. Far fetched, but more believable than anything else on this show. I know that if my dad was prescribed pot, my mom would feel weird about it too. The man has small children and it would really be setting a bad example. However, I'd be all too excited about getting medical pot as well. So it would be fun to get. And of course he had to try and share it; college nerd just trying to be cool with the popular guys on the block, and OF COURSE they point out that it's not real. HAHA

Gabby of course realizes that she doesn't like her daughter just being out there and not knowing about how she's doing. So she hires a lawyer to find her without thinking about the consequences. I mean it's typical of her character, but it's actually kinda scary to think that she could lose her own child. I actually love this story line and it's really making me a believer of Evan Longoria-Parkers acting. I think they are really giving her something to work with. It's actually a nice turn from her bullshit she pulled on the first season.

Bree is just getting boring. Oh wah wah, I'm embarrassed to admit I have feelings. I like a boy but it's not nice to admit it. Blah blah blah. Then because I didn't say anything, I have to resort to something stupid to get his attention. It's so stupid. And due to all of this, she could have had a friend in Vanessa Williams, but instead she had to make an enemy. Ok, it's just unnecessary drama. And not even good drama. Vanessa Williams does need a purpose to be on the show and they are just struggling to give her the role of the vampy bitch of the street. But come on, give her a good reason.

This season is crap, but I still watch. AHHHHHHHHHHH I can't believe i still watch and love it! GIve me more Gabby!!!

Brothers and Sisters.

Another week of crying on the show. Yes there are humorous moments, but overall everything just made me sad.

Rebecca came back!!! YAY! It makes me sad that the show is doing budget cuts and she's not really on the show anymore, but I just love her. I think she and Justin have such great chemistry and I just want her back. She came back to see her mom who doesn't remember her so well, but then they have a small fight, and she turns to Justin. Apparently they are divorced and just haven't told anyone. It's so weird. She acts like she's addicted to Justin and needs rehab from him. It's so strange, but sad and I love it.

Sarah's birthday comes up and we all find out that she's still lying to Luc about her age and he thinks it's her 40th, and they all agree not to say anything, except Justin, who ruins it in a Norah like fashion, which is pretty amazing. He's become the voice of reason the show. I love that the youngest person in the family has the most to say and is acting like the most mature person there.

Overall, it was a decent episode, but not great. I do love the show and I'll keep watching, but I need something good to happen. i want Rebecca back. I want Scotty and Kevin to have a baby, and I want Kitty to move on from Robert's death. I really need something good.

The rest of the week...

Tuesday night shows

DWTS

Quick recap, Michael Bolton went home. Was anyone surprised? I mean, did we really need an hour to know that he was going home? He danced like crap and no one really likes Michael Bolton. Go back to singing 80's power ballads.

Glee

I have to say it now. I'm not longer including Glee on my blog. Well, that is until they release a PSA about bullying. Out of all of the shows on television, I think they are the most complacent with the way bullying happens in high school. Each member of the glee club accepts the fact that the more popular people bully and/or pick on them. With everything that is happening in the world right now, they need to recognize that it's a real and serious issue and they have a responsibility to make sure that their audience knows they don't support it. Until they do, don't look for Glee anywhere near my blog.

ON to Wednesday night (my favorite night anyway!

Better with you is really hitting it's stride with it's second episode. I think this could be the sleeper hit of the season. The opening topic of an answering machine's technology and how each couple deals with it. from Mia and Casey recording their first message as a couple, then realizing that no one calls their home anyways because they have cell phones, to Maddie and Ben arguing over what best represents them as a couple in a message, to their parents trying to figure everything out and then just giving up because if it's important, they will call back anyways.

But that wasn't even the main topic of the show. They had to deal with the fact that Mia and Casey need a new place to raise the baby. Casey is hellbent on an abandoned firehouse, but the girls think that it's just a tetnus shot waiting to happen. The boys lose themselves in the "this is sooooo cool" phase, while the girls just hope it passes. In the end we find out that Casey say the sentimental and safe value in the place all along and sells it to Mia.

So that means next week we'll see them moving into an abandoned firehouse in NYC. Is anyone else tired of watching people live this crazy LA version of what living in NYC is all about? I mean, I like this show, but I think we've seen enough of LA's projected idea about what the big apple is all about. Remember FRIENDS? I mean, come on. It's so much harder for people to start out here than LA portrays. Reality check, LA, we're onto you and we don't buy it!

Overall, the show is cute. It's well acted by a solid cast and not overplayed by people who don't know what they're doing. The writing is adorable. At times, a little bit over romanticized, but in the end, it makes sense, and I'm hooked. It's light hearted and fun. I think anyone who likes romantic comedy will love this show and should be watching it!

Modern Family

This amazing comedy just keeps getting better and better. With the sadness I felt last week with a mediocre kick off to season two, this week's episode MORE than made up for my disappointment.

This episode dealt with kissing and affection. IT was amazing how they centered each family around their own issues. Gloria making dinner about her family traditions and being important to her, while Jay thinks they are crazy, so she sets up a trap for him, which ends up with him wearing sneakers tied around his neck. Cameron can't deal with the fact that Mitchell won't partake in PDA's. Then Claire, while snooping through her daughter's phone, finds out that Alex likes a boy and really wants to kiss him, while Haley is convinced that Claire was not the nice girl she claims to have been.

Eventually, they decide that it's Jay's fault that Mitchell isn't so affectionate and they solve everything by having Jay give Mitchell a kiss.

This episode was amazing! I seriously laughed my ass off every two seconds. I had to rewind parts because I missed stuff by laughing so hard! Every actor on this show is so incredible with their timing, and I can't imagine anyone else being on this show. The writing is impeccable and delivers every time. Even when I think the episodes are kinda blah, they are still genius. I mean, it's everyday life filmed like a reality show. Who doesn't dream of having a confessional when you can't handle whats happening? I would kill to be on this show. IT's brilliant. It's worth every bit of it's emmy for best comedy.

Desperate Housewives.

Ok, so it's too convoluted to recap, but for real, is anyone surprised by what's happening?

Renee is flirting with Tom and lynette is being a bitch to him. Bree fired her handyman because she liked him sexually, but then hires him back. Gabby fears that she cheated on Carlos and that he's not really Juanita's father, but obviously he alreayd knows that neither of them are the parents. Susan feels bad about lying to Mike about her sexy new job that is bailing them out. And then Renee ends up renting Edie's house.

First of all, my newest favorite actress on the show is Eva Longoria Parker. She has taken that whole "I'm the bitchy conceited neighbor" to an incredible new level. She's added an amazing level of humor to everything she does. I can't get enough of her this season, which is funny because I wrote her off years ago as a model-turned-horribleactress.

Next, I thought Vanessa Williams' Renee would end up with Susan's house so Paul Young could just go back to his own home, but she ended up with Edie Brit's house. So obviously, she is going to take over the role of trashy homewrecking bitch of the street. Oh my gosh, Vanessa WIlliams laying a bitch, surprise surprise, I'm glad she's stretching her abilities on this new job. HA HA.

But, bringing it back to a somewhat real situation, Lynette and Tom seem to keep it connected every week. It's not difficult to relate to most of their situations and this week, though far fetched, was no different. Granted he's dealing with something that only women deal with, but we'll see how it goes.

Overall, I keep needing to find out what's going on each week but mostly because of Felicity Huffman, Doug Savant, and now, Eva Longoria Parker. Kudos to all three of you for keeping the show alive. The writers are clever enough to keep the tie in from the voice over throughout the show, which is never each, but the plotlines are pretty superficial.

Brothers and Sisters

This show is amazing. Quick recap, HOlly doesn't remember anyone or anything, but has taken an interest in Justin because Justin doesn't treat her like she's stupid. Justin feels like he has an obligation to Rebecca's family even though she's not around. Kitty is struggling to move on with her life, Sarah is having problems balancing motherhood and being her daughter's friend. Scotty and Kevin struggle with the latin kid who keeps running away from home. And everyone thinks that Norah's a lesbian but really she's just hiding her job from everyone.

It's amazing how no matter what, these people make their audience feel like it's their family. It's hard to not cry when you see Kevin and Scotty finally taking their troubled teen to live with his grandmother. You see them finally get a taste of parenthood. Before I thought that they were going to adopt this kid specifically, but now, I think it's going to just inspire them to adopt instead of try surrogacy again.

I also love the element of how closely tied together this family is. When one of them finds out something, they immediately call the others to find out what is really going on to make sure everyone is in the loop. It reminds me much of how my own family works, which is why I find the show so easy to watch. You navigate the ups and downs just like we do in real life with our own families.

And, lastly, it's compelling enough writing to keep everyone engaged, even when all characters are talking over one another.
